We got off work a little early, in time to leave the slip at 3:48. The ocean was snotty as heck so it took almost 45 minutes to go 4 miles offshore. We started fishing at 4:31 and had our 4th keeper (and limits) at 5:28. Back to the slip by 6:05, back to camp and drinking by 7:10.

Out again in the morning, this time with crab on the agenda as well.

Another decent day. Two limits of coho, one limit of blacks. Still quite sporty. We might not get out tomorrow.

Cleaned up a bit.

Nice! Fridays and Saturdays are closed for salmon fishing in WA where I fish. It sucks because getting a combination of open water and safe conditions can be a trick. It wasn't as bad with my 21'. Now that I'm in an 18' boat, I'm a lot more picky.

Update 7/17/21

Four more fish in the box, including a 15 lb chinook. Also got 16 crab (tossed several back as too soft).

The best part was fishing with my brother for the first time in two years.
