I have a 1980 (PM serial number) Browning Hi Power that looks and is marked like any other Belgium Hi Power from that year except for the rack numbers on the barrel, slide, frame, and magazine. The unique thing is that the frame is alloy, not steel, and is noticeably lighter than the standard Hi Power. I haven't been able to find this gun in any book and only a few references in old (2003ish) forum postings. I've been told it may be one of about 2000 that were produced for an Austrian Border Police contract but I've also been told that it was for the Belgium police. I'm hoping someone here recognizes the rack number system or can point me to some solid info on this thing.

Thank you.
