For reference on mounting heights...
^^^This guy needed a longer handguard so he could have included the RDS on a 1/3 lower mount.
For anyone the didn't know the CO mount is 1.42" height and the 1/3 is 1.57". It appears the RDS comes setup for 1/3 lower co-witness and one would require a low profile mount to get down to an absolute co-witness. This sight may not be ideal for an AK, Shotgun or other gun where low mount is needed, definitely designed with the AR in mind.
