Call me crazy.. but if there was a hiking trail where statistically my vehicle would be broken into or vandalized.. I probably just wouldn't go to that trail.. I'd go to a different one.. or perhaps get dropped off as there are companies that will offer such services (depending on the trail location and duration).

I was figuring it had to be also! I know humanity has become more ignorant as a whole but, pretty sure they didn't get rich in the process. Having to replace windows every time one does a hike, sure would make the glass dealers happy!

Last time we went to a trailhead very near there I saw a newer suv with smashed out back window. So we see it 100% of the time for us (sample size of 1 ha ha). After seeing that we don't bother even going to places like that anymore. Saw same thing at Mt Tabor parking lot by the trail (not main parking lot). Thieves are everywhere. Scared off a tweaker last night at 2am when ring cam caught him on our porch. This whole area is one big sh!t hole imo.

I know it is satire...but in the second article post #15...only 1 of the 3 firearms pictured is a Musket.

Hmm. Could be a way for me to pick up a little extra cash for guns and ammo. I'll post a sign at the trailhead, have them sign a waiver, and for $50 bucks go to town on the preferred panel of auto glass. Then I'll throw a card in through the window offerring low cost window replacement after the winter hits, and their done with the Tide pod challenge.
