How does this mount to the AK? I'm not understaning it for some reason.

It mounts to flat trunnion ak pistols. You have to drill and tap the rear trunnion.

ATTENTION!!

For anyone who hasn't ever drilled and tapped a Draco rear trunion... they are typically SUPER hard metal, and you can easily burn up a drill bit and/or snap a tap off while cutting the threads.

I wound up snapping off a tap despite how much cutting oil I used, and I had to just by a new rear trunion, replacement rivets, and a rivet set from AK builder dot com.

Just be advised if anyone plans on doing this!
