another old retired guy project
just got my accurizing kit from Brian Rau
since his instructions are posted on line, here's the link
I'll take post accurizing target shots tomorrow, then after project shots
using Yugo 196 gn M75 ammo for verification
not fooling around with iron sights at my age, Leopold mounts with a Zeiss 3x9 scope and Timney trigger

My own 24/47 Yugo came amazingly accurate, among the best of the many mi-surp open-sighted rifles I have owned. Considered scoping it but the bolt handle would have to be replaced so Ive never gotten around to it...
Curious how you managed the bolt handle and safety, both of which can be problematic for scope use...

Jim the Boltman welded a bent handle on mine
I have Leopold high scopemount and the safety can get to first position
I was in Pennsylvania on business and met with him, don't know if he's still in business, but his website is still up
