Staccatos are overpriced. Never pay MSRP for it!
To be fair I think all 2011s are overpriced. But the value of something is in the buyer. I may think something is a complete waste of money while another person could think its totally reasonable.

I don't want a manual safety on my EDC gun. For that reason alone the 2011s don't interest me. They are a blast to shoot though. And they do actually give you an upper hand when shooting. If I were on duty or running competitions I'd definitely look into getting a 2011. But for concealed carry they don't fit the bill for me personally.

They are getting pretty reasonably priced now with some options in the $600 ballpark. If you consider they actually require some hand fitting and tuning which adds time to their assembly process if compared to a Glock/Sig or other striker fired gun of your choice, you will see that they are indeed more expensive by nature. Staccatos were hot when nobody else was in the market and they were your entry level 2011. Feature wise, you get guns coming out of the box now with aluminum grips, ports, aluminum triggers, optics plates, meanwhile staccato still charges you $2500 for a bare bones staccato P. Resale value of their guns tanked.
