A Day Called X (1957)

The following film is a short movie produced during the early stages of the Cold War called A Day Called X. It is about a hypothetical nuclear attack on Portland, Oregon. It is narrated by the actor Glenn Ford. The rest of the people are officials and citizens of the Rose City. Anyway, it is interesting in some respects, so I thought I'd pass it along. Cheers.

What, no hipsters? No "dignity village" and homeless camps in the parks? No leftists monuments, and light rail? No weed shops?!!

Quaint. A three hour warning. I doubt our national leadership would pass such information along to locals even if they had a three hour lead warning, and even if they did, any local civil defense infrastructure has been allowed to molder away since the film was made.
