I'm a huge fan of quick pull tabs on whatever sized bag, whether chest rig, sling bag, whatever. I have a couple older 5.:11 sling bags I use.

I'm a fan of sling bags, but to me the small ones are the most conspicuous. Something large enough to hold a laptop is much less likely to draw attention IMO. Then again, it also depends on your environment. I work in a densely populated urban center, so almost everyone is carrying a backpack, messenger bag, or sling bag of some sort with a computer in it. I see small bags like that on men occasionally, but not often.

Edit to add: if you like it and it works for you, then use it and enjoy it. Just be cognizant of what others around you generally carry, and recognize that it (or you and your mannerisms while carrying it) may stand out to others.
