8mm Mauser light loads. This is very close to the original S Patrone loading. I no longer have a Gewehr 98 so I do not need this.

I have fired a couple hundred rounds, goes bang every time. I would say it is somewhat lighter recoiling than the 196gr loads. It grouped very well for me inside of 100 yards. Past 200 you will start to get more flyers, which is normal for older ammo. As plinking ammo it is fantastic. Stripper clips work well. It is corrosive so you will need to run some water down a funnel through the bore after shooting, then clean as normal.

Not sure if it applies to these. But the other turkish 8mm stuff is super high pressure because the powder decays ir whatever. So just be aware!

Not saying thats what these are. Just stating my experience with them and others. SOME Turkish 8mm gets very hot over time and can be dangerous depending on the action of your rifle.

I added a photo showing the headstamp, 1950s mfg. Good to go for plinking. These are not Sierra Matchkings. They are for larping and shooting watermelons and they are priced accordingly.

Obviously if you have an expensive Gewehr 43 please for posterity do not run corrosive ammo through it. You should always be checking your brass for signs of overpressure no matter what caliber you are shooting. There is a thread going right now from a fellow NWFA member who had an AR blow up from brand new PMC X-Tac ammo.
