I need a Rem. 722 extractor.Are they different at all from a 700 extractor?

Yes they are. That little spring circlip idea on the 721/722 is one of the things changed when Rem switched to the 700 design.
About the only extractors available for these anymore are the ones for the 300 H&H mag bolts in the 721s.
You can have a 700 bolt fitted, or have a 'smith install a Sako style extractor in your 722 bolt.
There are a couple of 300 mag extractors on gunbroker.com right now if you want to try to resize one for your 722.

Thanks for the reply,I figured they were different.The 700 extractor fits in a 722 but doesn't work very good.
