This guy made an interesting short barrel firearm by cutting the barrel in this upper down. I think he measured wrong and should have measured the overall length without the brace but I can't keep track of how you suppose to measure these days.
Edit: If you are going copy the short barrel firearm as in the video, I would measure overall length without the brace installed.
