I took some of the aluminum case beauties to the range yesterday, at 12 yards I was able to drill them into a pretty consistent three inch hole using the CZ83. Better than the RSO next to me who was shooting a Sig Sauer 9mm with a Crimson Trace laser sight on it. He offered to let me shoot his. Maybe it was my imagination, but the green dot seemed to hover a bit; I had to wait a second after each shot for it to settle down. I have one pistol that is pre-drilled for such a sight, but I haven't done anything with it yet.

Imo the lasers just distract your brain/subconscious from good shooting mechanics. I ditched my crimson trace for this reason. The cz82/83 are fantastic little shooters.

The new Walther PD380 that I've got coming has tritium sights. I'm thinking for my purposes, those will be perfectly fine. In fact, I'm still like the the three white dots.

Mine is nickel finish with the better trigger guard.

Nice! Looks much better than mine. BTW, if you ever want to run a Red dot on there, or adjust the rear sights, I have a suspicion that the dovetail cut on the rear sight of the CZ82/83 is the exact same dimensions as the CZ75/97 family of guns. So there is a possibility you could run a rear sight or red dot adapter plate for a CZ75 and put a red dot on. I have been floating the idea of running a red dot on mine. Or buying a sacrificial slide and milling the top to accept one of the red dot footprints. I sat down a few years ago with all my pistols measuring rear sight dovetails looking for ones that were the same, and my CZ97 looked to he a direct match (and sight) to the CZ82.
