The two arent in the same group. How does the 300 PRC compare to the 6.5 PRC for long-range shooting and hunting? Which would you recommend for precision shooting at extended ranges versus big-game hunting?"
Thank you for the advice! I appreciate it. Recoil isn't an issue for me, so I think I'll stick with the 300 PRC.How are you with recoil?
If it's an issue, I'd say stay away from the 300.
Also, most of the 300s I've seen aren't a gun I'd want to pack around.
You could always suppress her or put a brake on. I'm getting mine built and it'll have an Area 419 Sidewinder, but I have a suppressor I can swap it with.Thank you for the advice! I appreciate it. Recoil isn't an issue for me, so I think I'll stick with the 300 PRC.
.300 prc has loads more recoil, will most certainly require a brake. How does the 300 PRC compare to the 6.5 PRC for long-range shooting and hunting? Which would you recommend for precision shooting at extended ranges versus big-game hunting?"
I had its Daddy, the 375 Ruger. It wasn't light, but it wasn't too much to pack around. Only gun that ever scope cut me, but we did get along pretty well after that. I never had a use/need for the 375, but I really wanted to play with one. It was a lot of fun. Enjoy.Thank you for the advice! I appreciate it.
