I have decided on a 300 blackout for my ar. I am going for a 16 inch barrel. What I do not know is what twist rate to go for. Any help on twist rate?

I assume the question I am going to get back is along the lines of: "What grain bullet are you shooting? What velocity?" To which I will say I don't know this is my first 300 blackout.

If someone know of a good article on this let me know, or just has a good opinion that would be great. Thanks all.

Most 300 blk barrels I've seen are either 1-7 or 1-8. The 1-7 should be a little better on the heavies and 1-8 on the lighter. I shoot 208 gr subsonics out of a 10.5" and it does fine.
