.22lr in a .22wmr chamber?

Can someone explain why I can or can not shoot .22lr out of a .22wmr chamber? (A model 93 savage bolt action rifle) and yes I know they won't feed from the magazine and have to be single shot fed.

While we are at it; can .22 shorts be used in .22lr or .22wmr chambers?

Clue (google is your friend - so is wikipedia):

WMR neck and base diameter - .242"
LR neck and base diameter - .226"

Yes - 22 short can generally be shot in .22 LR chambers, as can .22 long and .22 cb
