My wife told us thus news today. Such a bummer. Ice been going there since I was in diapers. I have taken most visitors from out of state there.. This reminds me of when all RadioShack's closed.

That's a bummer. I moved here at the beginning of the end of old Portland (developers were calling it the "Pearl" district, but there were no new buildings and the Lovejoy overpass was still there…and Satyricon) and all remnants are now going away. To be fair, I'm huge so not a great market for three sizes fit most surplus outer wear and stuff, so I'm only a twice a year shopper to buy some random camping stuff, but I appreciated what it was. Wish they'd just sell their spot and move somewhere cheaper, but people do want to stop working.

Best surplus store by far is Alleycat Supply in Boring!
Although owners say it's getting harder and harder to get their hands on real military surplus goods.
