This pains me to write, but I am letting old faithful move along to a new owner! I am trading in my main vehicle (4Runner) for a new truck, and I won't need the ol' beater anymore.
The only two issues with this truck are a crack in the windshield, and the tachometer (rpm gauge) only works when it wants to. Sometimes it shows your rpms, sometimes it sits at zero. What can you expect, it's 26 years old!
This truck is very reliable, it is driven multiple times per week, whenever I am not driving my company vehicle. I drive this truck every weekend for dump runs, errands, and to keep miles off of our newer vehicles. It currently has ZERO mechanical issues and it does not leak or burn any oil or other fluids. It starts up every time and has never left me stranded. It's been out to the Oregon coast twice in the last year. This would be a great truck for a cheap daily driver vehicle or a new drivers vehicle. It's reliable and will get you anywhere. Feel free to take it to a mechanic of your choice.
I brought it in to my mechanic just before 200k to get a full check up and inspection (since at that time I hadn't had any plans to get another truck) and I'll list below what services were performed.
Vehicle info:
-1995 Mazda B2300
-5 Speed manual (5th is overdrive)
-2wd
-2.3L 4 cyl motor.
-201,800 ish miles.
-Extended cab with fold up/down rear seats.
-Aftermarket Kenwood cd/usb/aux/Bluetooth radio with aftermarket speakers. 4 speakers total (2 front 2 rear)
-tires in good shape
-original factory carpet style floor mats, but will include the rubber weather proof floor mats that are in it (they're from my fathers Subaru, for some reason he doesn't like the weatherproof mats)
-Keep in mind this has NO power locks or power windows. Push the lock to lock it, or roll the window by hand! It's no frills, and about as base as a base model can get!
Recent service -
-full inspection by A and M auto & truck repair in Hazel Dell. If you don't know Roger, you should. He's been my family's mechanic since the early 2000's and he's fantastic. Shout out to Roger!
-Oil change 200k
-Spark plugs 200k
-Radiator flush 200k
-tie rods 200k
-Valve cover gasket (it wasn't necessary, my mechanic saw very small seepage around the gasket, so I had him replace it. Even though he said not to waste the money on it, I have a brand new house and I don't want any oil spots on my new driveway. I am meticulous about my cars and the slightest leak or seepage bothers me. I wanted to avoid any possibilities of any oil getting on my driveway!
-new clutch 200k
-new wiper blades 200k
-Another Oil change 201,800 (Done by the Havoline in salmon creek. I had a free oil change there, and I got the oil change before the recommended miles because I had reached the recommended amount of months before I reached the recommended amount of miles)
The truck runs great and has no issues. It's ready to rack up another 100k miles. The interior is good as far as seats and dash go, but the head liner has some scratches in it. Previous owner had a BIG German shepherd that he would drive around in the truck. Other than that, interior is great for an old beater!
Im asking $2300. I got to this number by using Kelley blue book. I hand selected all options that comes with the vehicle (which isn't much!), and I chose the middle ground of the value. I valued it at "good" condition, as it is 100% mechanically sound and overall good condition on the body. There's one or two dents or dings on the vehicle but for the most part it looks great for a 26 year old truck! If you want, you can make an offer and I'll consider it, but I feel it is priced reasonably.
Clean title in hand, no weird BS title situations. Title is here. 3 spare keys (one of which I'll need to recover from my dad, he has a spare and gets free reign of my truck to use whenever he pleases).
Please, no trades on this one. I'm selling this to recoup some money and put it towards a lift or camper shell for the new rig.
Thanks!
