I'm not sure. From what I read, there were some changes made in the later days of production. You might ask Redfield or Brownells. Someone her likely knows too.

I believe the 03 and 03a3 take different bases. The rear bridge is different.

Hmm, ok,
the problem is the rifle that needs the sight mounts has no real description on the model, but it most identifies with the 1903 because of all the features, it does however say remington, shoot it did not even have a caliber imprinted nowhere.?...
Just something I have to look more into I guess...

The rifle in the picture above is a 03. The 1903 and m1917 were all originally 30-06 with some exceptions. They didn't mark the caliber on them. The picture of the base for sale is a little fuzzy I can't tell what it says on the package.
