1903 Mark 1 was a top secret in the early 1920's.
It has a hole in the side of the receiver so the rifle could be turned into a semi auto when a Paterson device was added replacing the bolt
The idea was caned so the Mark 1 variant is one of the more collectable rifles.
It is in very good condition. Bore is nice
Barrel is a 8-42 4 grove.
Stock is a finger grove style.
The CMP had 100 1903's for sale so you had to be picked from a lottery to buy one.
This is one of those rifles so it will come with the CMP box.
Asking 800.00$. New price 700.00$
Or trade for a nice 1911.
