Also I just like to point out to myself...lol... That the one pictured above from mt pockets... Is the same author as mine opposed to the one that Andy put up... Thanks again for everyone's help... I will now burn this book and all of its contents so it doesn't drive anyone else Crazy Trying to figure out what its deal was....

The Tarantino twist to this hole thread is that... Get this..... I put the book somewhere with all the paperwork and now can't find it....

I guess it being in (hobbies) magazine explains why American riflemen had no idea what the people were talking about when they asked...lol.... So it looks like I solved a mystery from 1961 with the help of the good folks from here of course.

You can now sell the book and "pewter" or whatever they are Colts..
To a Colt collector...and if lead gets difficult to find....
He can melt down the Colts and make round ball from them..... :D

Kidding here...glad you found the actual ad and copy .
( Thanks @MTpockets :D )

Whew!

I was NOT relishing digging out my 1949 American Riflemans.

....and before it starts, no, the address labels on them do NOT include MY name.

I did go digging into them a short time ago to show a pistol competitor the raging debate regarding whether or not hip flasks were continued to be allowed on the firing line during competition (a VERY common practice that was defended vigorously by those engaging in it).

Something about, "a little snort steadies the hand", etc.

Visions of Kid Shaleen.
