I have another topic that is hard on the shoulder. At least I don't hunt varmints with this one. Well except for central Oregon zombie jack rabbits ( got one finally). I have a Wilson Combat Remington 870. It has a rear ghost ring and a rifle front with a Trijicon insert. Two years ago I started to shoot slugs. All shooting is without any rest or brace. Just standing. My first attempt went well at about 60 yards I bullseyed on paper. Then I worked out further on 1 gallon milk jugs. I managed to hit on the first or second try at 110 yards. Lately I go through a 15 round box and the only hits I get are on the shoulder. I have seen internet peeps hit at 300 yards ! I am only using basic Winchester 1 ounce 2 3/4 inch. The only things I would change on this is to add a pic rail for an optic. The fore arm mounted light needs to be upgraded to L.E.D. but so far no one at Surefire will answer the phone.
