Hi Andy - thank you and it's a pretty long ride down to Springfield for me so they're plan "b" right now.Wish we were closer...I'd give you a tin of caps.
Have you tried The Gun Works In Springfield ..?
Andy
No but I'll ask about that the next time I'm with the gunsmith who's refinishing the barrel...thank youDo you have the conversion adapters and 209 primers?
Thank you. I hope that I didn't screw anyone over too bad.Scam site fyi
From what I have seen they r impossible to find. Checked 4 local stores and 8-10 online shops. Musket are only ones available. I bought a BP gun and cannot shoot it as BP due to this. Others are in the same boat and selling off the guns they bought because they can't use them. I guess people are hoarding the caps? Sucks (and very frustrating) for new BP shooters cuz basically it comes down to ppl begging and pleading to get enough to shoot their gun. I thought about using cut down emptied 22 rounds or shotgun primers but not sure it's worth the trouble. Only viable option I have found is this, which I am not willing to do:Has anyone seen #11 caps (for a .54 cal), lately? I've looked off and on for two months, and the big on-line places always out of stock.
If no, and you live in the Tigard / Newberg area, I'd be willing to buy 100 count sleeve/box from you![]()

Great idea! I have some Italian caps of some sort and haven't been able to find rem #10 anywhere less that 54 cents a piece. I'm not sure it woudl work for revolver though.I remember seeing this a while back and found it again.
Guy says it works great with a SPP being softer than rifle primers. Just a piece of vinyl tube of which the primer fits snugly into.
I might have to give it a try later.
