I have a 10-22 that I bought in 1975. Shortly after I bought It, I slicked up the innards with some very fine grit wer or dry sand paper.
I also glass bedded the barrel and action.
It shot pretty good, and sent a lot of gray diggers to heaven, but I sort of lost interest, and it has spent the last 30 some years in the safe.

The grandson got interested in shooting, and the gun got back out on the daylight as a learning tool.
First few times out, I thought, "dang, this trigger sucks."
I have a few more discretionary $$ than I had 30 years ago, so, time for a new, and improved trigger.
Euro Optic had Timney triggers on sale for a very good price, so I took the plunge.
Saturday's results at 50 yards with Eley Standard. @ 7.5cpr.
Methinks this gun will see a little more time out of the safe.
