ruger single six
The Ruger Single-Six is a single-action rimfire revolver produced by Sturm, Ruger & Co. The Single-Six was first released in June 1953.The Single-Six is currently produced as the New Model Single-Six. The term "New Model" simply means that this model includes Ruger's transfer bar mechanism for increased safety, allowing one to carry the revolver safely with all six chambers loaded. Prior to 1973, the Single-Six was produced without the transfer bar mechanism, making it less safe to carry with all six chambers loaded, and with the hammer resting on a loaded chamber. The transfer bar safety allows the revolver to fire only when the trigger has been pulled. Ruger provides the transfer bar safety upgrade free of charge for owners of any old model Single-Six, though this may come with a significant trigger-feel penalty.
This is from an estate and I do not know the full history, but this looks to be brand new in the box. Comes with box and paperwork, plus a cylinder to convert to .22 Magnum. Ruger lists this as 2011 production.

This is an original Ruger Single SixThree Screw .22 and.22 mag revolver vintage 1972.
Original means it retains its 2.5 lb trigger and did not go through the recall. Recall still available if you want the gate, but it's a dream to shoot in its original condition.
Only wear is on barrel...

They only made the flat gate for a couple years in the 50s. This is in great shape. It has been sent back for the transfer bar and has the parts included.

Just shot a opossum with it last night!
I got this 3 screw on a trade and it came with no cylinders, and no box. I bought two cylinders off eBay, one 22lr, one 22mag. Both cylinders are stainless. Shoots rather well. I shot a gopher with it yesterday. The first time I shot it in years.
Shoot me...
Shrinking down the collection a bit and letting this one go.
Up for consideration is my Ruger Single Six, 3 screw, blued, flat top, with both the .22LR and .22 WMR Cylinders and the 5.5 inch barrel. This one does not have the transfer bar conversion.
Built in 1967 (I think).
Unfortunately, I do...
All I am asking for for Christmas is for someone to sell me a Ruger Single Six Stainless Steel 4 5/8" with adjustable sights. It does not even need the .22 mag cylinder. If someone has one collecting dust in there safe and wants to make some Christmas cash let me know how much or if I have...
Was bidding Ruger single 6 in an online estate auction and won unexpectedly. They hadn’t posted the serial so I figured it was not all that old.
Turns out it’s a 1959 mfg so gen one and has the original “unconverted” parts as well as the conversion kit with all the paperwork etc and the wood...
Up for sale is a very nice 1955 Ruger Speed Six 22 LR with the "Type 2"flat gate. The gun is in very good condition. The bluing is better than 90% with a few areas of thinning around the gun where the chrome/molybdenum frame shows through (brownish color is not rust). These areas are hard to see...
