I enjoy shooting the couple of Beretta 92FS pistols (one blue, one stainless) in the battery. I've been kicking around a small, lightweight silencer to use on said. Looks like Beretta offers threaded barrels for both finish types, so presumably that would be the easiest route.
Recommendations...
I have again rekindled my interest in the Wonder Nine genre of firearms and have been making acquisitions along those lines, and shooting many rounds from said, in recent memory. As such, I'd like to add another.
So, looking for recommendation from the fine ladies and gents here on...
Thought it might be an interesting informal poll. Do you prefer your automatics in some form of metal (e.g., steel, aluminum, et al.), polymer, or something else? If mixed what for, well, what?

So, I am looking to buy a number of Wonder Nines. Generally speaking:
Automatic pistol, naturally.
In 9ₓ19㎜ Parabellum. (Though I would be open to those in .38 Super, 10ₓ25㎜ Auto, 9ₓ23㎜ Largo, etc.)
Prefer hammer fired over striker.
Prefer SA/DA to other types. (No DAO autos though.)
