Friendly and knowledgeable staff - Reasonably price FFL transfer Fees
I've gotten FFL items half a dozen times through them and the first time they were extra patient with me and helped me figure out my paperwork. Every time after that has been smooth and easy, like it should be, this is my go to dealer for FFL transfers.
Both of the owners are amazing people. Exceptionally knowledgeable and very helpful.
Gunsmithing services are top notch.
Very good prices on new and used guns.
Can and will order anything you want.
Cons
No cons I have experienced.
Great owner operated gun shop. I've bought a few guns from this shop and paid less than I would've anywhere else. Have done ffl transfers for sales, online purchases and always had a great experience. I've had gunsmith service done here and it has always been top notch. I highly recommend this shop for your next purchase, gunsmithing needs or even buying accessories and ammo. Amazing, friendly, honest and knowledgeable guys that will show you everything in the store or even just sit and shoot the breeze for an hour.
Good place if your lucky and alone. But if it's packed it's not fun. Too many people like to cross fire. Hard to get the others to stop to set targets.

Pros

Mostly great staff
Cons
Some staff in the gunshop have terrible customer service skills
Long wait times
I have been to this LGS plenty of times over the years and generally speaking the staff are friendly and professional. That being said there have been a couple visits including today where a staff has been truly rude and unprofessional. The wait times are so long that you need a ticket (reminds me of the dmv) but honestly I don't mind that, it goes to show you that they are a great shop overall.
Anyway there has been a couple of staff that have truly blown me away with how rude they can be, today while waiting for nearly 45 minutes before being helped I decided to talk with the guy next to me that was being serviced by a staff member, I only wanted to ask him "hey if you don't mind me asking, which AK rifle is that?" but the staff threw his index finger up at me and shouted "NO! JUST NO! THIS IS NOT A SWAP MEET!!" Uhh look I own my own convenience store and I understand that with today's issues shops are short staffed and employees can be wound tight but this is unacceptable.
So other than gambling every time you come here for a good staff member and the slightly longer wait times I would recommend this LGS if you are in the area and or need to special order a firearm that other shops don't/ can't get.
Really good little gun store. I've done a few FFL transfers there. The guys there are always very helpful. Not a whole lot of stock, but what they have is pretty good.

Pros
Had some decent deals and selections back in the day.
Lots of better places much closer to where I live.
Cons
Owner became unhinged when I asked about Mini-14's.
Not allowed to give negative stars
Warning: Necroreview from the 1980's. Just posting to let folks know their reputation has been earned consistently over the years. I frankly don't know how they have stayed in business.
Was a repeat customer in the late 80's and on a friendly basis. Bought an amazing used Redhawk with an excellent trigger job, a Taurus PT-99 when nobody has semi 9mm's in stock, and my treasured Browning A-Bolt 22. Bought a lot of reloading supplies there as well. Thought it was a decent place, then...
One day I inquired about a Ruger Mini-14. You would have thought the world ended. Dude yelled at me about playing army and running around in the woods shooting indiscriminately until I finally told him he needed medication, left, and never came back.
Sometimes the dog is behind the counter where you can't pet him.
I have purchased several guns at their Milwaukie location. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. There's a great selection of new and used guns, and they have ammo to put in them!
I've used Rainier arms a number of times over the years, starting with a Noveske upper I got from them many moons ago. Since then I've had them customize an AR upper for me, and although I am no longer in the AR game, Rainier is still my go to company when I'm looking to get a new True Precision barrel for my pistols. They don't always have a huge selection in stock, but that is not their fault, it's the limited quantities that True Precision send out. When Rainier does have them, their selection is as good as anyone's, and their prices are right in line with the competitive market. I will continue using them.
