We believe the 2nd Amendment is best defended through grass-roots organization, education, and advocacy centered around individual gun owners. It is our mission to encourage, organize, and support these efforts throughout Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming.
I've been buying from these guys off and on for 10 years since they were in the older smaller location. The new location is fantastic and they seem to get a large variety of trade ins. Probably being so close to two military bases. Good selection of ammo, only place I could find 30-30 recently.
I recently went through Adaptive Firing Solutions for a private party ffl transfer and Steve was great! He snuck me in same day that I called and was super cool and made the process very easy. Cheapest FFL transfer in the area at only $20
Good inflow, so interesting new stuff comes in pretty regularly.
Staff is knowledgeable.
Nice selection
Cons
Always busy, so guns often are sold before they even hit the floor
It ain't cheap
Service is either fantastic, or can't be bothered, no in between
Mazama is a friendly, laid back, established gun shop with a decent selection, knowledgeable staff, and a sweet gun wall. Definitely one of if not the best place in the Eugene/Springfield area for firearms - and everyone in the area, and the staff at the shop know it. The place is always busy, and inventory is often claimed before it even hits the shop floor. Their prices definitely rise on the higher side, especially for the more desirable firearms that come through the door, and unfortunately due to the crazy demand and amount of customers they get, there's not too much room for negotiation. Still though, there's a reason people go to there, and while it ain't perfect, it's still one of my go-to shops to browse - particularly if I'm in the market for something a bit more interesting.
Robin Ball ran a great shop. Jeremy has upped the game.

I remember being excited when SAFE Shooting opened in Spokane. Then confused when they changed the name to Sharp until I took one of Bob Smith's classes and learned the whole legal fiasco there. Then excited again when I enjoyed my shooting time while living in Spokane while the range continued to grow under Robin Ball.
Fast forward to when SBRs became legal in WA, I had a hankering to add some PWS rifles to my stable. I reached out across the state back to Spokane and became acquainted with Jeremy (then GM, now full owner.) Knowledgeable, authentic, customer-focused, and a quality family man of faith in all the right things. I would drive 275 miles just to shop with them, because I wanted to support quality.
Living in Oregon, I still love it when I get to shop with them. Most recent was because they're a quality Staccato dealer. I had heard the chatter but thought of them as just one more 1911/2011 platform that I'd probably hate. I was wrong, especially shooting the ones available at the range for rent.
Through it all, I would say I've noticed an increase in customer service. Setting aside how blasted busy they've been with the changing rules of the current garbage law, and lines to the door, I was greeted and treated well at every turn. Jeremy understands the value of customer and the value of service, and I'll bet on him every day all day to raise the bar of quality of what shops and ranges offer.
Local ranges in Oregon would do well to take lessons on how service is done.
Oh yeah, and their lanes were all functional. Unlike Lane 1 at Threat Dynamics, which has been down for, what, three years now?
Went to Oregon Rifle Works for my ammo search as always, can't find much in this town. They have a good selection of firearms and accessories, purchased some high capacity magazines before they become illegal in Oregon. Standard pricing, but that is still good considering they were the same with Glock accessories as online pricing.
I will shop here again in the future.
Great Location, Super Friendly Staff, Great Prices, Prompt Telephone Calls
Just did another Transfer today, AGAIN THEY ROCK 100% SOLID COMPANY
I have used them for a few Firearm Transfers, they always call within minutes of the gun being delivered, paperwork get submitted on time and they promptly call when the PD has finished their background check. A+++++
This is a perfect facility for those new to firearms for learning proper firearms handling, improve skills in classes and for the more experienced to train at. Friendly and inclusive atmosphere. Occasional fun special events.
I've been training there since it opened and can't say enough good things about my experiences there.
I've done two transfers here before. Both times my questions were answered in a straightforward manner and all paperwork was completed quickly. Fees are the same as other places but service hasn't lacked once.
Most all my firearms purchases have gone through Gators and I am a VERY satisfied customer! Now that gun shows are not the same anymore, I shop used stock at GCG inc. and I've found some excellent deals. I've also found ammo that I could not get elsewhere for very specific firearms I own. Love this gun shop!
I have ordered several times from them. They have the best price on Okay Industries E2 textured 30 round mags. when there was a glitch on their order page, they where able and willing to help me through the order over the phone instead. I wouldn't hesitate to order from them again.
