I have been here multiple times. Overall experiences have been good. Online transactions are very easy order online and pick up in store. At time the can get pretty busy and if you are looking for some talking time or more assistance I would recommend getting in early! The selection is always good and there is plenty of ammo at a decent price all considering.
Very average gun store service. I don't go there often because the environment there is kind of off-putting/unapproachable and uncomfortable compared to other gun stores and pawn shops in the area, it is not something I look forward too as much as a place I have to go to get something. Good selection and high quality stuff regardless!
Lots of shooting ranges for distance and skill levels
Cons
Indoor ranges restricted
This is an outdoor range that accommodates both handguns and rifles. They have advanced Rangers in the back that you have to qualify for Before you can gain access.
Other members are courteous and respectful. I enjoyed going here and shooting on my days off.
Went to safe fire before purchasing my handgun. They have a great selection of rentals and you can exchange the rental as much as you want for other models during your range time. It was a great way to test out lots of options before making a purchase - highly recommend! Only minor downside was the wait times, but since we went in the morning it wasn't too bad - maybe 30 minutes.
Great customer service. Limited but quality collection.

Pros
The staff was very helpful and friendly.
Cons
This is a small store so supplies are very limited.
I purchased a lightly used revolver that was on consignment. It was a very reasonable price. Availability was very limited but this was also 2020 so availability was limited everywhere.
Sporting Systems is the best gun shop I've ever had the pleasure of visiting. I've bought and transferred 4 firearms from them from 2019-present and they've been nothing but efficient, pleasant, and consistent.
An employee in particular, Chase, has taught me firearm and optic knowledge better than any YouTuber ever will. He also has facilitated and went above and beyond in making difficult transfers happen.
I 100% recommend this establishment to anyone that is seeking a solid gun shop.
Super quick and efficient FFL transfers. $45 for handgun. Both Tammy and Jason are knowledgeable and will go out of their way to help. Small inventory on hand, but they can order most anything at fair prices.
Everybody's comments about the store are accurate, these guys are super nice and knowledgeable, and offer transfers at the best price around. While the parking spots are limited, the real draw is navigating the tiny parking lot when others are present. Not a world-ender though, give them a visit
The staff are super helpful and quick when it comes to getting things done.
Great selection
I recently had a transfer through their store and I gotta say, it was quick and painless. They were helpful and patient as I spammed them with emails with concerns regarding the process. When I got in it was quick and easy to fill out the paperwork and I was out the door with some new steel. The selection is also a huge plus! I couldn't find the 33rnd Glock mags in black at any other local store until I went there.
Knowledge level, time taken with customers when you finally get assistance, polite and professional
Cons
Mishandling of logistics
I am editing my review to reflect failures on an NFA item purchase made through Oregon Rifleworks.
I wanted a suppressor but they weren't carrying what I wanted (Odessa 9). No problem, I pay up front and order it. Can comes in and I get a call where they leave a voicemail saying to make an appointment to complete NFA paperwork. I call back to make my appointment but the only member of the team that handles NFA items is on lunch.
I am told that if they have the can i can come down anytime and they can accommodate me for the paperwork filing. I specifically make a point that I was requested via email to make an appointment. I am told to call back in 30 minutes to talk with the employee that typically handles NFA transactions. I called back 3 times separated 30 minutes apart over the course of 90 minutes and was redirected to voicemail each time, leaving a voicemail requesting a callback; no callback is made within 24 hours.
I drive down as instructed by the employee in the aforementioned phone conversation, only to learn that apparently the ATF website is down and has been so for days. Great, now I get to coordinate in some nondescript time later an appointment to drive 40 minutes total time back down here to do the paperwork that hasn't been initiated.
Oh and the can I ordered is now in the display case at the store, so i guess they do get shipments and I did NOT in fact have to pay up front to have it special ordered? Or the can in the case is MY can out of box on display? Either way, not having great luck so far with Oregon Rifleworks.
Just pickup the phone or check your messages
P.S. update: The cans crown shattered after 20 rounds, a known problem with gen 1 Odessa cans and has been with Dead Air since May. It's November as of writing this review. The whole purchase was cursed.
Very nice owner, always happy and willing to help with anything he can.
Great prices all around, even private party transfers.
Cons
None.
Awesome store. Found it by mistake and will be continuing to do business there with purchases and transfers. Excellent customer service. The owner truly cares about making every transaction a good experience and loves what he does unlike a lot of places that just have a 9-5'er who is just there. Highly recommended even if it isn't the closest store to you.
Had a great experience with Esstac over the last month. I've been buying their gear for the last couple of years and decided to make the trip up to stanwood. They are doing a NFA transfer for me and provide everything needed. They scan your prints, take your photo, and do all the paperwork. Their NFA transfer fee is $100. They also offer the cheapest price ive seen for other FFL transfers. They mounted a scope for me free of charge and would not take payment for it. I also wanted to exchange a pouch, as it barely had any camo pattern on it, and they switched it out with no hassle. Highly recommend them.
There's no magic button installed to move you up on the firearms purchasing wait list.
Love these guys. I've purchased a few firearms from them. They're always friendly, helpful and fast. Great inventory and I've listened to help help other new buyers, etc with great service.
