I have never purchased anything from Guncrafters so I can't speak to their pricing or selection (even though I had to rate that as well here), but I have been in a couple times/called a couple times lately as the Communist Party of Oregon tries to slam through Measure 114. Once to ask about handgun selection, they expectedly were all out as is everyone right now, but were kind in my interactions. Second interaction was they are very close to my house so I chose them as my FFL for a rifle I have coming in. I called and visited to let them know I have one coming in and Ron was once again very kind and helpful to me. He didn't seem annoyed or rushed or overwhelmed in our conversations, which so many local dealers have sounded like as I ask questions in these crazy times. He gave me the info I needed and was excited for me to be getting my first rifle. I look forward to doing future business with him.

You know, I'm really not sure all the comments here are on the level... almost like some folks from another business want to give Guncrafters the shaft to improve their customer support. I have known Doug for over 20 years, and found him to be a great help and a good listener. I've bought many guns and had several built there. Not one bad experience. He is honest and works with you, and is interested in all your little projects. It's getting harder to find good people that run a good shop, I hope it stays that way for another 20 years. I've been an NRA instructor for over 25 years and have steered a lot of folks to Doug's place...never received any bad feedback from them either. So if you want to talk to some gun folks that have been around long enough to know some things about the guns they sell, and the guns you may want work on, just give them an honest try, you won't be disappointed.

Well thats why there is more than one type of gun,car paint or what ever..... I have known Doug at guncrafters for a long time and always had good dealings, Price is normally pretty good. Ole's gun shop gets a fair amount of my $ they have a great custom gunsmith Named Kevin who does very nice work. Jason at Blackwater tactical ( 12th and Cross0 behind salem emblem runs a great store and has the best survice anywhere.... I thought my couple times into MLC that the survice was crap and the dude running the store . was blowing alot of BS. . . . . This is a great country and you can spend your $ where and with who you like..

I gave them a very good. I'm not arguing with anybody that wasn't treated well, just wasn't my experience there.

I've been in half a dozen times or more, and bought my carry gun from them a few years ago (and one other I think.) I packaged laser grips and a trigger job with the purchase, and it was all good.

It isn't walmart prices but you gotta be realistic about that. Walmart prices mean walmart way of doing business. Shave every penny from everybody along the way, underpay your ee's, buy from China anytime you can, etc.

I support every small gunshop I can. I don't care if it's $.50 for a shell holder, I buy something every time I go in there. I want these guys to stay in business, and if i pay a little more for something so be it.

But there's no excuse for treating any customer badly. As many people on here that have experienced that they can't all be wrong. Don't know what to make of that. I've had that happen so often at Keith's that I don't go in there anymore, others love the place. Go figure!

i've bought six guns from doug. never had a problem. he is a little abrasive to new customers. seen it. i went in there on a saturday a couple weeks ago and had to hop behind the counter to help out.
the guy you have to watch out for is ron redding. that guy is a spitfire. never seen a guy so full of energy. i've seen him come in like a force of nature, talk to three recalcitrant customers, knock ten percent off the price of the gun and make the sale.
