Basically an RPK carbine, or a heavy-duty AKM. The barrel is thicker, the receiver steel 50% thicker, and the trunnion has bulged reinforcements, all to make it more reliable under heavy use.
In this case, the use wasn't heavy - I bought it unfired two years ago, put about 500 rounds through it, cleaned every time. Recently replaced with an RPK and no longer need this rifle. It's in excellent condition, shoots great, nothing wrong with it except that the front sight post is off-center from the factory. Does what it says on the box: goes bang every time and makes holes pretty much where pointed, with mild recoil from the extra weight. The original trigger had awful slap and was replaced by the RPK's when that one got upgraded. By AK standards, magazine wobble is modest. With a clip-in shim (no modifications to the receiver whatsoever), wobble is about zero and hooking in a full mag is sheer mechanical pleasure.
Comes with two 30-round mags, and Archangel green polymer furniture.
Trades possible, especially for ammo or a reloading press.
Will ship to a verifiable FFL, prepaid or through an escrow service. Otherwise face to face at a mutually convenient FFL.
