Great neighbors .
Stood there ( filming, I'm sure), while everyone died.
I have no doubt some probably did just that. Stood there filming. Bottom line still the same, the one who felt the need to an order should have felt the need for something to protect themselves. I listened to this going down and it was hard to listen too. Voters decided they did not want Cops in this part of the county. This is why it took so long. First LEO on scene did what they are told to do, nothing. Sat there while people were being killed waiting. First LEO who actually rolled up called out that the scum was actively stabbing and dropped him. Sadly way too late.

Not being present, I guess I just can't understand why there was enough commotion to get people out of their houses, but not to actually take action.

It probably escalated insanely fast.

Glad it wasn't my street.

It took a LONG time of yelling before the LEO's arrived. LONG after the first call the stabbing started with more 911 calls. There is only a couple Officers in this part of the county and they are spread over a huge area. This is what the voters keep asking for. The Sherriff here is GREAT, and has been asking for more help. So the media here attacks him at every turn. Again people are getting what they ask for. :s0092:

I just read this, Washington state ranks last in the nation as to fewest number of law enforcement officers per capita. And has done for the past 15 years. As of 2025, there are 1.36 officers per 1,000 residents. The national average is 2.31.

Kind of thought Gig Harbor was the kind of place that you didn't want the police involved in a domestic incident.

Isn't that where a Tacoma Police Chief shot and killed his wife a few years back? :s0001:

This happened outside of the city of Gig Harbor. The Chief who shot his wife there was Chief of Tacoma not Gig Harbor. The woman he shot was on the phone with her family who begged her not to pull over for the scum. She did and he killed her then himself. Don't let facts get in the way of a good story though. :s0092:

From the article:
Authorities said the initial call came in at 8:41 a.m. as an "order violation in progress." The sheriff's office said an adult man went to the home despite a no-contact order against him. Deputies later confirmed the order was not valid because it had not yet been served.
Deputies obtained a copy of the order to serve the suspect, but while en route, they received an update at 9:30 a.m. that multiple witnesses were reporting the man was now stabbing people outside the home.

Remember, take your meds...

Court documents linked to the address of the home involved show at least one petition for a protection order was filed by a mother against her adult son in April 2025 and granted the following month in May. The protection order mentions the son having a mental health disorder and states he has pushed and threatened his mother in the past....The protection order stated the son was not to have any weapons or come within 1,000 feet of his mother, her home, her vehicle, or her workplace. The son was also ordered by the court to follow his treatment plan and take his medications.
