This is the second radio that I purchased less than a year ago, so that my wife and I could stay in touch while we spent the winter in the Sonoran desert, in Arizona. I have a side by side that I use to explore old gold mines, etc. and I travel many miles away from our campsite. As it turns out, we were simply too far away from any repeaters and as a consequence, we couldn't use the radios except in simplex mode. These radios are just like new and know that we have returned from winter jaunt, I'm offering them for sale.
