EDIT: I have just been made aware that for this to work on a rotating bolt such as a standard 5.56 you need a special cam pin which I never got. It should work AS-IS on any dedicated 22lr or direct blowback pistol caliber bolt. I have an email out to X-products to see if they can supply me the special cam pin.
X-products SCU (Side Charging Upper) plus X-products CRS 6.5" handguard.
Purchased an assembled upper however I really want to convert it to a normal rear charging setup for consistency.
The upper alone is $300 from X-products and the handguard appears discontinued. Asking $150 obo for the set.
Shown assembled for reference only, bolt and barrel NOT included.
