I love Glock and hate the 19 at the same time. The 19 doesn't really fit into any category well. Some people call it a duty gun, some call it a concealed carry. I call it neither. The G48 and 43 are, IMO, better options for CC.
I used to hate the 19. Until I got a Gen5. Now it's the ideal carry gun for me personally. I can't stand the 43/43X/48. And I've tried. Multiple times. lol. They just aren't enjoyable to shoot. And the difference between a 48 and a 19 is minimal for me personally.

My 48 is a pleasure to shoot. I shouldn't say I HATE the 19. I just don't see any real good use for it.

Strong hands and forearms must help with the 43, 48, and 43X. They don't feel much different to me then a 19.
But I'm not sensitive to recoil. And grip angle dosn't matter to my wrists.

I'm not saying other people are not experiencing something there. But I do wonder if sometimes people just decide on what they like first.
And then decide why?

This. I don't see any real difference between the 48 and the 19. Yes I've owned and shot both. The 48 doesn't feel any snappier, although less capacity with standard mags. And thinner/easier to conceal. Methinks you're right @Medic!

It's not a strength issue for me. I just don't enjoy shooting the single stacks compared to the doubles. If I'm carrying 10 rounds I'll just carry my 26. The 19 and 48 conceal the exact same on my body. And I shoot the 19 better than I shoot the 48. So that's my reasoning. Plus 15 round OEM mags that take all my other Glock mags.

I used to carry a 48 daily until I got my Gen5 19. Nothing wrong with the 48. Just not my flavor anymore.

For the longest time I was 100% positive I could not shoot a Glock for whatever reason. Then I took a formal shooting class. I told the instructor before hand I could not shoots Glocks to save my life. Boy how wrong was I. He brought out his Glock 17 and his Glock 19. And asked me to pick which one I wanted to prove to him I couldn't shoot a Glock with. And since most of my experiences with the 19 that's what I chose before I shot any of my pistols I had to shoot the Glock 19 I shot it very well with the little instruction. I shot it very well. I shot it just as good as my 2.0 compact and the XMacro that I had at the time.

Well, I've never had the 48 but I've shot one several times at a local indoor range but I did have the 43X and I did not care for it at all. The only other Glock that I've had way back in the day was the Glock 22 absolutely hated that thing, but I really like 40 caliber.

Never shot a P320 don't want to. As far as the 48 goes I only shot maybe 10 rounds through it so I haven't shot one enough to give a honest opinion on it. I know a guy that's been carrying a P320 for a long time and he said I'm not worried about a thing.

Get back all you filthy SOB's!

The line forms behind me!

That it's hot garbage. lol.
And out of all honesty if I do go back to the Glock, it'll be the 19. I had a 43X and did not care for it. I shot 148 at a local gun range and we put about 10 rounds through it so I really don't have any great opinion on it. But I understand it's just a longer slide Glock 43X. and it would end up being a G5 Glock 19.

The 48 is the exact same as the 19. Just skinnier.
