Sold on AR15.com
I have for sale a nice Colt 1911A1 manufactured in 1943 (serial number 1148739). Pistol is correct with all the correct marking for a 1943 with the correct magazine (marked with 'CR') with two more period correct magazine (one marked with a 'S' Scovill and one with a 'L' Little, another still in the wrapper from 1953)
The pistol has a lot of original finish still left, over 80% by my estimation, but there are a few speckles of rust dots on the ejection port of the slide, frame and dust cover. While I'm mentioning the bad, there is a small idiot mark by the inspectors stamp and the crossed cannons stamp in light.
Asking $1450 for the pistol with the 4 magazines, it a wonderful piece of history or our greatest generation!
