I have to thin down my herd of "collectable" bicycles.
This one is a 1950's, 3-speed. (You remember those.
They had a little silver box on the handle bars that
had a lever where you could select 1 or 2 or 3.
The selection changed the gearing in the rear wheel hub.)
This bike is a RANGER. These were actually made in
the UK and shipped to a small company in the mid-west
who added the logo and sold them as their bike.
It is a collectable bike to bike enthusiasts, Or, a cool
bike to ride if you like admiring attention.
Mechanically it is good. The exterior is what you
might expect from a bike that is around 75 years old.
I would like to trade it for an all metal pistol from before 1965.
However, I would sell it.
