Rifle? Carbine? (a full-length photo would assist in answering or preventing this question)
Appears to have originally been a carbine receiver (saddle-ring attachment leveled and polished on left receiver plate), and buttstock/plate is carbine. What shows of the forearm looks to be rifle.
The "1892/65" referenced in this thread's title is probably quite accurately descriptive of this gun's heritage and assembled origin.
