Finally found the time to put this together.
Built a 7mm Long Range Magnum, a wildcat developed by Gunwerks based on the 375 Ruger, necked down and shortened by 0.080"
Materials:
While waiting for parts, I kept my eye out for 7mm bullets. Found 700 Nosler CC 168gr at 32¢ each, and 400 Cauterucio 189gr & 172gr for 40¢ each.
Making the brass is a major PITA. When I need more, I think I'll just buy some from Gunwerks.
I'll take her out this next week and post a range report.
If I really like her, a Jewell HVR trigger will be the next enhancement.
Since she looks like a Franken-gun, once I'm done practicing, I'll do a camo paint job.

Materials:
- Remington 300RUM action. On taking it apart, it was apparently accurized.
- McGowen SS Barrel, D5A contour, 1:8, 26", Threaded muzzle
The McGowen has a deep chamber throat for long VLD bullets.
- 4 port muzzle brake by Nathan Wright
- MDTTac TAC21 chassis, 3.715 Magazine well
- LuthAR buttstock on fixed buffer tube
- DPMS AR Grip
- Weight, as shown: 11.3 lbs, 2 lbs heavier than if I had gone with a light composite stock.
