I've been trying to fill a spring turkey tag. I see them EVERYWHERE but public land. I've been scouting all around Roseburg (North Fork Umpqua area) and have yet to see or hear one gobble. Does anyone know some other areas to look around the Eugene area?

Thanks!

Hi there, yes. Walking on Old logging roads towards the coast find grassy areas and you'll find them there.

Roseburg area has a lot of birds. Talk to the regional biologists at odfw to help determine where the birds are where you want to hunt them. It also helps to scout them prior to season, and may involve knocking on doors to get permission.
