Where to Shoot in Mt. Hood NF?

I saw Mt. Hood National Forest listed under "Supporting Organizations." Where are good places to shoot there? Any special rules apply other than "leave the site cleaner than you found it"? I do that.
Permit needed? Check in at the ranger station, or just go? Thanks.
