Most of my BBQ guns have gone down the road.

I only have a couple left, one being the SP101 on the bottom of the photo...

...and although not engraved, I think this high gloss Vaquero would qualify.

Uberti Winchester model l1885 Deluxe rifle 32" barrel Double set triggers in 45-70 soon to get a set of long range sights.

OH I read through the thread and I see this is for a show off piece. Well the 1885 is a wee bit big to drag around a BBq so I'll have to go with something understated and show off my

Why is it called a barbecue gun. Is that a term from the old west days or something?
Mostly in times past...
In Southern culture, when you attended a high visibility social function, such as a BBQ, part of your formal attire would be the fanciest sidearm and rig possible.

Did you have them engraved or did they come like that?
These came from the factory this way. Occasionally Ruger will release a batch of engraved handguns. There are also plenty of engravers who will do it on an existing gun, for a price. 💲 💲 💲

Here's one on Ruger's website, and apparently still available. I owned one of these at one time. Very gorgeous.

what's your bbq gun? Not dream gun, for some they might be the same but what have you added to your collection just because you think it's cool? Some people might say "if it not practical I won't buy it." That's okay but for those who perhaps buy a little differently, what's yours? Mine is a blued 6in 29-2, waiting for the approval right now. What's yours? Pics are a plus! Thanks

I guess all of mine are BBQ guns. Practicality is not my strong suit.
