Whats so great about a Glock 23 RTF2?

So I got a Glock 23 RTF2 by trading my S&W Shield for it. Is there anything special about it besides the texture of the grip and the half moon design on the slide? For IWB carry I think that grip is gonna suck, I may have to get a rubber hogue grip to put on it, but well see.

The grip texture and the "scales" are it. No other difference.
Some like 'me some don't. I like the grip but not for IWB carry.

I love the RTF feel on my hands, but not so much as it cheese-grates the skin on my lower back.

They are a limited production run from 2009 to 2010 to my knowledge,I picked up a g22 rtf2 and love it.I would never consider a glock to be rare but the RTF2 doesn't pop up everyday like a gen3 or gen4.

I guess if you like the serrations and the rough texture you're good to go......me personally, not so much for a concealed carry weapon.

Those are the only things that are "special" about them.
