I am looking to sell my Sig 229 with night sights. I think that there is one mag and I have less than 50 rounds through it. I have one too many 9mm's and would rather have a browning bt99 because trap season is coming up and I need a trap gun. I was thinking $600, is this in the ball park?

Hi this seems to be a real want to sell ad. you might want to move it to the classified
ads. and just my opinion depending on condition and what you have with it
600 might be to low don't cut yourself short on a nice piece

I may want to sell it, not sure yet. It is a 229. I am trying to figure out if it is worth what I need so I can get what I want. Gun is more or less new with only 50 rounds through it approx. I agree that it should be worth more than $600 but the real question is what will it sell for? If I do decide to sell it I will but it up on the forum tomorrow morning.

I went to GB.com and finding new from mid $750->$1,100+

HOPe this helps, a used gun is only as valuable as the buyer can believe in the values.
good Luck

HappyRoman,
Thanks for the help, that it great info! I couldn't agree more, the defination of market value is what a ready willing and able buyer will pay and what a ready willing and able seller will sell for.

Your price may appear low, but the resell on Sig's seems to be about there or a tad lower depending on model. You could try pricing it higher and see what happens.

Age, condition, internal or external extractor. Are the sights still bright? All of these things add up. One mag, but how about holster? Accesories factor in the price also. The sig forum is a great place to guage what these are being listed for also.
Hope this helps~
