Shoot-N-See paper. Most of my shooting is .30 - .70 cal at 50 yards, or less, so I don't need a spotting scope.

My vision sucks so generic shoot-n-see type targets are my favorite. I reclaim used ones off target boards at range and fix them up with shoot-n-see pasters.
That's my contribution to saving the whales.

If I have my Bull Barreled .22lr. D.P.M.S. AR out, I use the 12ga. hulls I usually find laying around. I'm good out to about 50yards.

We shoot those a lot with arrows tipped with blunts. Oftentimes we will take one shot before range finding, then another after range finding. An arrow ends up lost every now and then, but not too often. It makes for great practice on both shooting and yardage estimation. We're probably not too far from your neck of the woods, but just on the other side of Hwy 58.

Full size paper silhouette or shoot-n-see attached to cardboard backing for more concentrated work. AR500 steel for working on speed, including a couple of reactionary pop up steel targets.

Sometime, just like to go after clay bits on the backstop, a challenge to call the shot first. Keeps one sharp.

A friend and his family set up a "shooting shack" on their acreage. They would buy cheap breakable things from garage sales. When there was too much broken glass and ceramics, they would bring in the dozer and bury it all.

I nailed a large spider with my "H&K" AirSoft pistol as it was walking across my kitchen floor. Darned if it didn't leave a dent in the hardwood. Must have hit it dead center as there wasn't anything left but a couple of legs.
I have a Caldwell, "Shoot-N-Gallery in my garage for some serious air pistol time. It has aluminum ducks that a CO2 pistol will knock down.

I used to frequent just cheap construction paper and orange dots, but I have grown really fond of the shoot-n-see silhouette targets along with the kind you can patch dots over to hide your hits.
