Just like the title says ... What compares to the glock 34 as a factory gun ?

Nothing.............................

Didn't you know Glock = Perfection................... Duh!:p:rolleyes:

Just kidding.......

The Canik and FNS longslides are major contender. Best for the money IMHO.

I tried out the Walther, M&P, G34, G35, Canik and FNS........ Canik and FNS were awesome.

The others are just if you have more money to spend and want something that others recognize....... IMO

M&P 5" - good guns. Lots of options to tweak them these days.

I used to own a 5" XD gen 1, I really liked that gun too. I know XD's get hate, but I've never experienced a malfunction with any of the ones I owned. The biggest complaint I have is spongy triggers. A little heavier, crisper trigger would actually be nice in them. The 5" XD was as accurate as any plastic gun I've ever shot was. Not as accurate as a Hi Power, but still a fun gun to shoot.
