That's useful info. Never been much of a reader, myself. Since I've quit fishing, my true passion since I was young, I've enjoyed getting into firearms and the fire arm community. Reading of the World Wars is what I've got into now with the interest in older firearms. Another good member of the forum turned me onto Steven Ambrose. It takes me a long time to get through a book because I don't sit down to read that much, and when I do, just sitting reading isn't comfortable for too long."Foreword by Stephen E. Ambrose." A foreword is typically an endorsement of a work by a more senior author or personality. The Amazon copy says the same thing on the front cover at the top. What author of a WW2 book wouldn't want a foreword by Ambrose. Whose reputation later became a bit tarnished by allegations of plagiarism and fabricated interviews. The whole of his work is generally admirable, I'd think.
The majority of my reading is done laying down.I don't sit down to read that much, and when I do, just sitting reading isn't comfortable for too long.
