Get a heritage. About $105-$125 new. 4.5", 6.5" most common. 9" and 16" also available as well as 1" 2" 3". 16" is cool cuz you can add a stock if you want. They are fun and cheap. Adding a 22mag cylinder is about $29 if you want to shoot both calibers. customizable with grip me engraved cylinders etc of your into that. 4 click action like a colt single action army.

I saw a Charter Arms double action in 22 with a 3 or 4 inch barrel recently at bimart in Corvallis for around $300. Looked pretty decent.
