Hello all,
Up for sale today is a good condition K43 rifle made by Walther in '44. This rifle is major numbers (receiver and bolt at the very least) matching as far as I can tell and is an excellent shooter for those who would like to take advantage of that. The laminate stock is in good condition with some dings and dents as to be expected from a rifle made in the forties. *As has been pointed out to me, the previous owner removed a small amount of wood around the scope mount.
Most parts are original to the rifle with the exception of the front sight block/post/hood, cleaning rod, and the gas piston which has been replaced with a Apfeltor shooters kit piston. Bore is in great shape, bright and shiny with very minor pitting/scuffing towards the middle. I did send this out to Apfeltor (He is well known in the milsurp community for specializing in G43/K43 repair/restoration) for inspection and repair (if necessary) when I first got it. He repaired a small crack that was present in the magwell and shored up the back of the bolt to allow for longer life while shooting. (An example of that can be found on his website https://apfeltor.com/).
The rifle does come with two magazines which so far have functioned perfectly and required zero messing with, the original gas system parts, and the dust cover bit for the bolt (took it off as the bolt liked to stick on it when cycling).
Got a couple boxes of PPU 8MM Mauser ammo ill throw in as well.
I'm asking $3200 or best offer for this rifle. I will cover transfer and would be willing to drive a good distance to complete a sale. Would prefer not to ship if at all possible.
If you live in Washington and your FFL deams it able to be transferred then ill make the trip.
