Up for sale, Southwest Washington, Vancouver area, Clark County area.
Meet up at Hazel Dell pawn shop.
Walther Licensed PP .32acp. Made by Manurhin France in the 1950s. With 3, 8 round mags, and new cocobolo grips. Excellent condition! One of the nicest I have seen. Great deep blueing, and smooth as butter function.
Cool little piece of history. After World War II, the Germans were not allowed to manufacture firearms. The Walther plant in East Germany had been captured by the Russians and shut down. The Walther family needed to re-arm the German police. They licensed Manuhrin, in France, and set them up with manufacturing lines for the Walther PP, PPK, and P38, on the other side of the Rhine river in France. All of the Walther products were manufactured in France from the 1950s up until there early 1960s when Germany then became our ally against Russia in the Cold War. And Walther set up their new plant in Ulm. The original "James Bond gun" was actually a Manurhin.
These Manuhrin-Walther PPs were issued to German and European police agencies. Some were imported into the United States.
This particular example has no import marks. I believe it was possibly purchased by a G.I. at the PX and brought home some time in the 1950s. The original black plastic grips had a crack. I replaced them with a fitted set of new Hogue Cocobolo Grips. They look great and really warm up the feel.
Selling for $500 cash.
